My work is guided by the ethos of recoudre—to resew, mend, or stitch together. This principle weaves through my practice in textile and fiber arts, small sculpture, photography, and drawing. By blending ancient techniques with contemporary aesthetics, I unravel and restitch layers of meaning that shape culture, the body, and the self.
Tactile and personal, textiles and fibers form the backbone of my work, carrying histories of utility and identity. Through weaving, stitching, and layering, I explore the tension between preservation and transformation. My small sculptures extend this dialogue into three dimensions, while photography and drawing abstract natural and bodily forms, blurring the boundaries between self and other.
Recoudre is an invitation—to engage, question, and reimagine. By stitching together fragments of past and present, my art fosters dialogue, urging viewers to reflect on how their own stories are pieced together and how they might mend and reshape them anew.
